Oadby Evangelical Free Church has a Missionary Matters team whose functions are to promote awareness of, and interest in, missionary activities. Also to co-ordinate support for various missionaries working both overseas and at home.
Updates on the missionaries we support are brought to the church during the Sunday services on a monthly basis, and any prayer letters that are received are distributed to the fellowship. Visiting speakers from the adopted missions, as well as other organisations, are invited to the church to give information about their work, and this takes place several times each year.
The missionaries that have been adopted by the fellowship are reviewed on a regular basis and those we have links with at the present time are as follows:-
Regular prayer support is given to the adopted missionaries in the church meetings, and individuals are also encouraged to pray privately for them.
Financial support is given on the basis of the perceived need and available resources and is reviewed on a regular basis.
