Learn2Lead is a church based training course providing a solid grounding in the Christian Faith and is designed for any leader or potential leader in the church. Examples of this include: home fellowship group leader, youth leader, Sunday school leader, elder, deacon, specialist group leader.

Over two years a group will meet regularly to cover five tracks.

1. Understanding the Bible. 2. Understanding Doctrine. 3. Understanding Leadership. 4. Leadership in Practice (1). 5. Leadership in practice (2).

Each track is covered in ten units. A comprehensive manual is provided for each student.

Oadby Evangelical Free Church (OEFC) Ministry Training Scheme is planned for 1 or 2 years. It is designed to provide training and practical experience for those considering full time Christian ministry.

Trainees' time will be divided into three areas: teaching input, ministry experience, and practical service.

Each trainee will attend a one day a week theological training course as well as the East Midlands School of Christian Ministry based at Oadby. These will provide the theological teaching input for the year, and will be supplemented by fortnightly teaching sessions with the minister and leaders at OEFC.

The East Midlands School of Christian Ministry moved to Oadby in  September 2009. The school of ministry provides a special ministry consisting of a ten-month (each year) teaching course of biblical and theological studies over two years. This course is both stimulating and informative for Christians of all ages and standing in the Christian life, from any denomination.

This course is intended for those living within reasonable distance. The Saturday sessions (9:30am to 1pm once a month) comprise of four 45-minute lectures. No other work is required from the students. Students can join at anytime during the course.

Lecture notes are provided, and recordings of all lectures on CDs are available for purchase. Also www.schoolofministry.co.uk provides course members with access to all lectures in MP3 format.
