Wotsit? What is it?
Wotsit? is a youth group for those in schools years 6-9. We meet on Monday nights during term time from 7- 8.30pm at the North Memorial Hall.
Why go?
Cos its great! A chance to get out of the house, be with your friends, meet some new ones, and have a laugh. We do a wide range of activities such as: sports, games, karaoke, craft, cooking, talent shows, and eating (we recently had an 11 course banquet) - if you want to do something let us know and we'll try to include it in the next programme.
The Christian Bit!
One of the reasons we run Wotsit? is because we want people to find out about Christianity. Each week for about 20 minutes we have a 'talk'. We look at different books of the Bible, issues such as 'Heaven', 'Horoscopes', 'Angels' etc or people in the bible. We don't just talk at you, we read, watch videos, act stories out, play silly games, involve you in the talk and answer any questions you have.
Wotsit? Extreme!
For some reason we decided to try doing Wotsit every night for one week in the summer. We must be crazy! We take a different theme each year (such as dreams, Big Brother, texting and extreme sports) and do all the normal Wotsit activities taking advantage of the lovely summer weather (?!?).
Who are the leaders?
Wotsit? is organised and led by, Ruth and Stewart Barnes, Sarah Glover and David Atter. We are all Christians, are regulars at OEFC. and we all remember what it's like to be young! and we enjoy Wotsit? loads!
